Bimac was established on June 30, 1959, with the filing of unification documents by two researchers, Dr. William Schneble, an MIT drug store and also metallurgist, and Dr. Clyde McQuiston, an aeronautical engineer with an undergraduate degree from Purdue as well as doctorate from The Ohio State University, where he taught foundry methods while examining for his doctorate.
