In 1921, the Banner Die, Tool, and Stamping Company was established in response to the demands of consumers from the post-industrial era who needed metal stampings to meet their stationary inventory needs. Because the purchasing process was predictable due to long-term estimates and inventory management procedures, the business was straightforward.

With the advent of just-in-time inventory, static relationships based on inventory were changed into dynamic associations. This modification concerned the purchasing process's dynamics rather than the metal stamping.
